Convertible to hard top

Hey guys I am new to the club but I have a question which may seem obvious to you but not so much too me I have a 95 regular stang but I have a friend parting out a 94 convertible. My question is about rear springs. The ones off his car are brand new the only difference I can see is mine have 8 coils and his has 9. I called ford and they cant give me an answer which came as a surprise but does anyone know if it will cause any problems or will my rear end just be up a little higher? Also his rear end is in great shape just replaced not too long ago and mine looks rough. They are both 3.8's. Any differance or are they interchangeable ?

verts are heavier. might need an extra coil to support it :idk:

rear ends are the same, you shouldnt have a problem with them at all, before you put it in though check the gear oil make sure its full and the oil is yellow-ish and not black

Thanks. I installed them last night and they seem to be doing well. I didnt realize until I removed my old ones how bad they really were. Thanks for the reply.

i actually put hardtop ones in my vert bc someone sold me the wrong ones and it hits hard and sits really low, i dont think useing vert ones in a hardtop will be a bad thing , but i dont know much thats just my opinion lol

I have coupe springs in my vert as well..I love the stance on it and it rides nice

i like how low it is but for some reason i feel it hits the bumps soo hard and idk why , maybe its just me , maybe i need someone esle to drive it to see lol
