i have a 2000 gt with approx. 440 hp at the wheels, its a street car and i just converted it to a 5 spd.im not well versed in clutches and need some help, done some reading and the spec stg2 keeps coming up,and would love some opinions...thanks
I have a ram heavy duty racing clutch. It's a stage 3. It's very heavy, meant for racing...I'd Rather a stage 2 for driving. My leg sometimes depending on the drive starts to get a work out cause its a heavy clutch. Recommend if u change ur clutch to get an adjustable clutch kit. Helps with your grab point and play in the pedal. As far as stage 2 clutches go, havnt heard any really good brands. Can't help ya with the choice of clutch...
Yah i've also heard good and bad about the spec line of clutches....i asked this question awile ago bc i will also be upgrading my clutch considering i smoke my stock clutch every time i go out on sunday nights with back to back runs...i havent made my mind up yet but people seem to swear by the centerforce dual friction clutch. Centerforce DF800075 Centerforce Dual Friction Clutches just realized ur cars a 2000 and the links 2001&up but u'll get the idea with the link
