Clear bra???

Well...how many of you guys are using a clear bra?..or do you just deal with stone chips and repaint in a couple of years?...and am I being too OCD about my car?.....lol

for what you spend on a gt500 nothing is too ocd (except maybe not driving it)
i dont have one because id have to get a custom one to match my chin spoiler. next time i get a repaint i will probably do it though

Thanks for the info...I think I'm just going to chill out and enjoy the car as is....if it needs repainting in the future...then so be it....that'd be an excuse for some purple flames!!!...haha...BUT I did order this temporary plastic wrap ...road wrap....that I'm using for 4th of July weekend.....driving down to Ocean City...and will try to stay off of EXPRESSWAYS...(trucks)...and no tailgating!!!....lol....life's too short.....that's the reason I bought the car in the first place....

I havn't one stone chip or anything on the nose. I know it has a lot to do with the color. My black truck has a buttload, white cars, not so much unless it goes all the way down to the plastic, then, no matter what you have on there it isn't gonna help.

Oh yeah?.....no stone chips?..and you don't have the 3M clear bra?.....My black GT is loaded ...but that's my daily driver..the Shelby is still pristine.....damn it only has 500 miles...haha...and I rarely drive it in the city...plus it's white....so my stone chip future is looking okay, I guess???...lol

The one's I've seen have a visible line, but it's not too bad. Wicked's right about the color thing, white is very forgiving and black shows every little blemish

Black is the worst PERIOD. My '00 Harley F150 drove me insane because I was anal about the truck and the front always got chips..:smash:

i may only have a gt.. but i have to say my experience with bras on cars is not good.. lol, for a gt500 sigh.. i would take the every day road damage as it comes. when it finally erks you that bad take the car to a good body shop and have them shoot the hood. thats what im doing with my car, but it may cost you less because the paint may be less expensive to mix than the orange lol

Yeah...that clear bra idea was when i first got the car..being anal and all...but yeah...when the time comes...will just reshoot the bumper..but so far...no damage whatsoever...PLUS...you can see the edges of the clear bra

I'm just going to chill out and enjoy the vehicle ...lol

I know a guy that has on his CLS 63 AMG he had some issues getting it installed because of the tech that did it. But once it was done properly he loved the way it came out and this is a guy who spares no expense on his cars, always in an immaculate condition. Worth the money :awesomework:
