BA's tear down has begun ...

Yeah, because of starting with the npi motor I'm getting quite the gain. If TBapp did the same heads on his motor, he'd only get the +45. For the hp gain and the price of a sc for a npi motor, I was better going this way. Plus I'm a LOT better off to take advantage of boost in the future.
Today was a short one. We got the motor buttoned up with the front cover and valve covers. I'd like to have gotten the front cover cleaner but I don't have the patience to steel wool it forever.
Saturday we'll start right out with bolting the motor mounts to the block and set it back in the car. We're going to leave the intake off so we got more room to set the motor and tranny back in.

Between work and the car, I'm running myself ragged. Good news is I should be done with the car tomorrow. If not, 1st thing Friday morn.
I didn't get quite as far as I would have liked last weekend, but I'm real close.

WHAT A BEAST
I ain't no slo NPI sn95 any more.
Well it took longer then I wanted but holy shit. Hell, I'm still running with the stock NPI programming. I got to do a little more checking on my tuner but I'm pretty sure there's a change to PI heads already installed in it. I'll load that tune after I check it out more.
Been really busy the last week. I was 99% done with my car Thursday. Friday was just tightening bolts on the mid-pipe, add oil & antifreeze then fire it up.
Started right up ... purrs like a kitten ... pulls like an OX.
My gears are really gonna wake this puppy up.
I still have to install my smoked fog lights, lower grill & chin spoiler .... a good claybar and waxing, then I get some good pics up.

I finally finished the lower grill, fogs and chin spoiler. Had a hard time getting a good pic with sun behind the car. Got to be the 1st time I've been mad the sun was out.:smash:
Once I get a good waxing on it and some decent pics I'll get the sig updated. Now I got to save some money to get my gears installed.

I would say = to a '99-'04 GT with 10.5/1 CR pistons, stage II ported heads & full exhaust.
For a guess I'd say between 300-320HP at the crank. :idk: It's a hell of a lot better then the 215 crank HP the NPI's came with stock.:smash:
Still need a tune but I'z a poor man now.
I did screw up by not getting my tuner from AM, no free tunes for life. They did say they could still hook me up for $50 a tune. So I am hoping to get something from them to help in a few weeks.
I think when I have to get them ugly new plates I'll go with a costom plate.

Right now I think I'm going to hit AM up for a "canned tune" from 'Bama and run it like that for summer.
Next winter's mods are going to be a new top, cobra brake swap and suspension.
I'm thinking a Accufab 70mm TB & plenum w/ cai and 24# injectors would really compliment the ported heads and exhaust. I think the stock equipment is my last point or restriction now. Once I do that I'll definitely be headed to MM for a good dyno tune.
