you think its fine to go from 3'' to a 4'' pipe right by the mass air will there be any turbulence ?

It's best if you can keep 6" before and after the maf with no major changes. i.e. bends, transitions, ect.

I know on my car I had a hard time getting the MAF in the right location last year. I keep getting a turbulent signal, which makes the maf count go crazy. The end result was an erratic idle condition. My car might be a little bit more sensitive to it, do to the fact that it has cams in it.

one question the vac hose that goes on top of the bov is it the same vac hose that goes on to the end of the bypass valve?

any line that sees vacuum is good for the blowoff valve as long as it is at least a ¼" id. Everything looks good so far. Don't forget to cap off the nipple on the bbk tube!

ok i drove it around the block driver side pipping is way!!!!! tooo low got to fix that

also the stock power pipe im using has 3 open holes in it sooo im not hitting boost but you can still hear the bov a little bit

im not hitting any boost for some reason ..........


when i finished everything i turned on the car but in excitement i forgot to tighten the allen bolts on the blower so when i cranked the car the impeller scraped against the head unit and left light scratches on the impeller but it still runs fine can that be the reason why im not hitting boost

make sure that all the clamps are tight (do not over tight them) look for leaks. Check the blowoff valve to see that it is not stuck open. Also make sure the spring in the blow off valve is not too soft and opening prematurely (this is rare, but possible)

the blow off wont open i was guessing that was because i was not hitting boost?

but u can still hear the bov release air in the vid i put up

Dosnt look like your getting into enough RPM under load to get positive boost.

That might be it. I know down low my car makes no boost or very little. Mine really doesn't start to make boost until 4000 or so. Then starts to take off boost wise over 5000.

i redid the clamps and checked over everything today and the car hit boost but i let off after 3lbs the blow off will not open up even under boost

can this be because of the spring? i dont even know what spring it has in it right now ???

Blow off valve is not supposed to open under boost. Only under vacuum

It won't open at idle it won't open when I rev the car it won't open when I drive ....and it doesn't make a woosh sound that a tail is supposed to make it makes a low real low fludder sound. i cant even hear it when im in the car

Someone said I should use a pink 3psi spring ....but doesn't it go by how much vac my car has at idle I'm confused about this bov crap I don't know which spring I should get

Where are you getting your vacuum signal from? Make sure the vacuum line is the proper size and that it is seeing good vacuum if that check out the spring could be too stiff. You can try cutting half or even a full coil on the spring to see if it helps, if its not enough you might have to get a new, softer spring. The valve should open when you rev the car and close the throttle. one thing that I have seen with some knock off BOV is that their quality control is not necessarily the best and some have metal shavings (from the machining process) inside that can keep the valve from moving like it should. open it up and if you find anything clean it up.

The vac hose I used goes from the back of the upper intake to the bov....the hose was really hard to fit on to the nipple of the bov ....mayb it isn't the right size .......ill open up the bov when I get home in the morning thanks for the tips man

I also read some where that if I don't use the 3psi s/c spring that I would be damaging my supercharger ? Is this true?
