When i buy gears what is recommended? The installation kit and the bearing kit or Installation kit,bearing kit, and the Traction Rebuild kit? What does the traction rebuild kit do?

It depends on how many miles are on your trac loc, really the only way to tell if it needs to be rebuilt is by taking it out and looking it over. Are both of your wheels still spinning when you get on it? Sometimes they both may hook on the street but at the track they may not if it needs to be rebuilt.

When i get on it both the wheels are indeed spinning. I dont believe my differential has every been replaced since 89. All my parts are orig. Planning to take everything out and putting brand new stuff in but that takes time.

I would do the diff as well as everything else, the rebuild kits are like $70-$80 and since yours doing the gears, might as well do that too, you will be happy that you did, trust me

The oil is big $$$$$$. Do it all now so it dosnt have to be opened up later. You will be glad u did.
