2010 v6 upgrade ideas

Well start off with a CAI and a tune that should give you some more hp and waken up your V6 A LOT. Exhaust wise I would switch to a dual exhaust if I were you I just prefer the look and the sound of a dual exhaust setup. If you want to since your an auto I would go with 4.10 gears that would make your car seem like a whole new beast. As far as handling goes it all depends on how extreme you want to get. This kit from Ford Racing has everything you need and it can keep your warranty if you get it installed by a Ford dealer but it is pricey and I have heard you can piece together something as good as the FRPP one for cheaper. I honestly prefer the FRPP package since if installed by a dealer I get to keep my warranty in case something happens with my car I dont have to pay out of pocket.
I would go to American Muscle and look for some stuff there and check back for some advice or questions. Also take a look at this thread you might find it useful

With the 2010, I agree with that ford20 has said. I have the 2011 V6, so the CAI won't by my much of anything. That is according to the Ford Racing guy I talked to at Woodward Cruise last year. He did talk about the suspension package as it would lower the car just a bit and give it a little more attitude, but I haven't decided to that. So for now, all I have done is add a Homelink to the overhead center console. And while that doesn't seem like much, it is great not having to fish for the opener.
No actually he should do the tune first to get the most out of his setup. With the free tunes for life that American Muscle and Bama tunes has it would be kind of stupid to do the tunes last.
As for handling thats why I mentioned the package bc it has everything that he needs. You don't have to get that exact one but it does have pretty much everything you need to make your car handle better without getting too involved in the geometry of suspensions.

do CAI, exhaust, UD pulleys, plenum, TB, maybe gears, THEN tune.
best bang for buck and ensures maximum preformance. Thats what its all about isnt it?!

I'd so the suspension 1st myself. My friend has the FR3 setup on his GT500 and it is nice, not sure how the one is for the V6 but I'd assume it is quality stuff as well.

I'm sure you could piece it together however you want, but for a decent upgrade that makes it easier. Many of the other Mustang companies have nice kits as well.

You have the same mill as me the good ol 4.0, take Ford20 advice, get the CAI and tunes from AmericanMuscle, the tunes are free for life. Also recommend a strut bar, I know the 2010 is better handling then my 07, but I'm sure it'll help. I put one in mine and corner is alot more fun.

I did my full swap for about 200 with all parts, the warranty i really didnt worry about since its the exhuast not much can go wrong with the can unless it falls off and manages to punch a hole through something.
I would also tell you to save your money and take the trip to the all ford nationals because ford installs everything for free and just charges you for the parts, so you can get the intake, tune and exhaust. Also you can pick up a shit load of parts for the car for dirt freaking cheap.

In the kit that Dsblk93gt (Dave) and myself mentioned it has one so its a really good kit to do to upgrade your suspension

Thats some good advice Jose ... If you can get some free time in June come down to Carlisle, its a HUGE show and Ford Racing installs any parts you buy there and everyone has discounts available lol
