I'm starting to plan out the new suspension for my stang. I want to put a new K-Member (BMG) with lower motor mounts & new control arms (non-adjustable?). I was looking at the Stage 3 kit? Help me out here I need input. I would like to set the car up for auto- cross and maybe the drag strip.

well autocross and drag strip are two totally different things. If you dont have lowering springs, go with eibach pro-kit, with an adj. panhard bar, and then go with roush shocks and struts with adj. upper and lower control arms. then get a strut tower brace and k-member

Kinda off topic, but wanted to ask if you got your certificate from Ford yet?

yes I did my car is: vehicle is #2488 of a build of 2509 convertibles and is #697 of 703 manufactured in white. Not bad right?

You can't really setup a car to be good at both. You need to choose which one your going to be doing more frequently and then live with that decision. You can either set it up to transfer the weight better when launching or you can set it up to be able to carve the corners. Not both unfortunately.

I now a guy who has literally tried every suspension mod to figure out what is best for everything. So I will check around and see what he says is the best bet for you Ray.

Ray, the Stage 3 suspension kit is a good setup for autocross and road course duty without sacrificing streetability. Should be killer with a k member and strut tower brace. You could add a wheel hop kit and adjustable LCA's for the strip and still have a good all around package that is still comfortable on the street.

No, Thats not bad at all, Mines 1 of 768 in Screaming Yellow and 1 of 139 with a automatic.. Ours doesnt give specific number of 768 which my car is..
