2.3 vs 5.0 Radiator

I need a radiator and I want to know if there is a difference between the 2.3 and 5.0 ones. I want to get a 5.0 one so if I can ever get my motor in my car that is one less part. My 2.3 is auto, so if I buy a 5.0 one for a 5 speed and it doesn't have the two threaded bungs for the tranny lines then I will just re bend them and hook it up to an external tranny cooler I have. If it really won't work, oh well but I'm willing to ghetto rig the shit out of it mounting wise.

I know theres no difference between the radiator for a 5.0 stick and auto. Ive got an auto radiator in my car and just plugged the cooler lines with bolts.

Id check part numbers on Advance Auto's site to see if a 2.3 and 5.0 use the same one.

My car still has the stock radiator but Ive put radiators from Advance in other vehicles Ive had with no problems.

According to them, the radiators are the same, but the 4 banger has a different shroud and uses an e- fan.

Well I knew about the shroud and yeah, the 4 bangers have a box fan mounted wo the radiator. It's funny how small it is....thanks for the link Josh!

Yea it looks like a fan that should be on a go kart. LOL I usually just get a 2 or 3 core copper core radiator. I had a 4 core in my 93 LX and it was a PITA.

well when i did my first swap i left the 4cyl auto radiator in it and it over heated when i did burnouts and speed alot,i bought a 3core aluminum and it was fine, ive had alot of cars overheat on me and i feel its a spot u should not skimp
