I am giving all you guys first dibs before I put her on Ebay or Craigslist!!!-
I hate to do it, but the Wife wants to sell her 98 Cobra. I have no time to finish her.
Here we go....
Yes, it is a real Cobra, have vin, title, and chassis tag to verify.
125k-ish miles, 4,000 miles on trans, brakes, and tires.
Car was originally a California car that went to Hawaii, then I shipped here.
Clean title, 4th owner (I think), not registered in NY, did have Hawaii safety inspection, no NY inspection.
Engine: 4.6L DOHC, stock, except for K&N filter, Have SCT tuner (3015) to go with car
Trans: Stock T45, rebuilt 4K miles ago with billet 3-4 shift fork, carbon fiber synchros, and B&M spring loaded short shifter. Clutch is good, some people say it is tight, but my 110 pound hot ass Wife can drive the car with 3 inch heels (in other words- she is a bad ass babe, and you are a pussy if you complain, lol)
Exhaust: Stock manifold, UPR x-pipe with 2 cats (not 4), Flowmaster cat-back with exhaust tips powdercoated gloss black by me
Body: Not bad, maybe a good 7.5 out of 10. Has a few dings and dents here and there, had side skirts, front and rear bumpers repainted about a year ago, black Cobra vinyl letters, brand spankin new black chrome cobra style headlights, tailights have sequential chips, new Cobra fender badges
Chassis: Looks great, only surface rust on k member and a-arms due to driving it from New Jersey to Fort Drum in December 2012-
Convertable top: Had to replace top when we got it, money was tight, so I replaced with vinyl rear window, but went with a one piece- I think it looks cool
Interior- Carpet was shampood, looks good, new embroidered Cobra floor mats, Driver and pass seat have seen better days, have tears- was going to replace, but deciding to sell car now, the dash is good but I can't get the damn coolant temp gauge to work right (common problem I guess)
Suspension/Steering- Just replace two power steering lines and new powersteering rack, Eibach lowering springs (on car when I got them).
The bad- the seats need new upholstery, rear seats are ok though. Needs alignment due to replacing steering rack. And despite all my efforts- oil cooler is leaking coolant-
First it was leaking from just the weep hole, so I ordered the kit from Lethal Performance to rebuild it, and it still leaks- I think I am going to get the Ford racing delete kit with external oil cooler and filter mount before it goes, otherwise you would have to tow.
KBB says about $8700 is fair (the lowest) condition-
Asking $5500 OBO, don't ask me for my lowest price, make an offer if you want. Pictures are in my albums. I am flexible and have more pics if needed. Rock on.
