I would check the flasher unit, depending on what year your car is on my 69 Coupe it was mounted to one side of the radio behind the dash in a metal clip, according to my wiring book on the 65/66 it is behind the dash up by the l/s vent & the wiring comes off the main harness. Hope that helps.
