Centri blowers whine also but not like a KB. I have a centri but on a built motor and I love it. A shift kit is def a good idea. Make sure you get 3.73 or 4.10 gears with your S/C btw. It really helps the cetri blowers work, it gets those rpm up faster for the centri blower too REALLY kick in...
