Yep, thin layer of ultra black on the outside of the seal and oil the inside so the fruction of the crank doesn't burn up the seal until the oil gets there.

A shit that isn't her fault. The chassis tuner is the one to blame for that one.

Never put a seal in dry. Use oil or assembly lube where the seal meets the crank. I always wipe a VERY THIN layer of Ultra Black on outer edge of the seal. Most of it will come off when you put it in but it will help seal any imperfections there may be and will not hurt a thing. I pop them out...

Bring it to a machine shop. They are pressed onto the rod so you wil need heat and a press.

This convertor has 3 psses since freshened. It's built like crazy and was $1,200 new. Stalled at 4,200 behind a 700hp 408 and is built with all the goodies for nitrous use. It has an 11.5" bolt space for a 164 tooth flexplate. Asking $600 OBO

Nice. Try some blue loctite on the shifter bolts and rotate the driveshaft 180 degrees on the pinion yoke. Make sure there is no crud and the yokes where they connect.

No silicone on the intake gaskets but throw out the little cork/rubber strips and use a thick bead of ultra black in its place.
