I agree but when I asked both Dave O'neal at DOM and Rick over at RPM they both said cams wern't the problem with the tuning. Rick is going to do the finish machine work on the block so when I bring it over to him I will ask him more about it.

I guess that means the ford EFI has one thing over the good old chevy TPI, lol.

The 408 was the origional idea but both of the motor builders/machine shops that I talked to frowned upon using a 408 on the street. They had tried it in the past and had issues tunning them for street driving. It is looking like more like a 383 at the moment.

I would think it would have to be retuned for maximum performance but I don't think it would be completely necessary.

Well thanks Dave. After reading that I have another qusetion that is not 351 specific. Do the injectors on the EFI fire one at a time or do they fire left bank, right bank?

Going from a 302 to a 351. I realize the deck height is different so does this mean the intake has to be specific to a 351? Will the deck height being different make the gap between the intake ports, from left head to right head, greater? I have a 351 block here that was going to be for a...

Is a 275 too big for a 9" rim? Would a 255 be better suited?
