Some of the early Fox bodies had quad shocks. It was just to help with power delivery to the rear tires on launch. Since you don't have them, I'd suggest a good set of lower and upper control arms and good shocks and springs. You'll get good launches, hopefully no wheel hop and a safe solid rear...

To be safe, I would suggest no wider than 255, perhaps keep to 245 to be more conservative?
