Did some work on the Mustang Saturday. Got the tap out and chased all the head bolt threads. Also cleaned the gasket material off the new-ish heads.

I actually do plan on running boost. But the 351w doesnt have forged pistons. So im worried about adding boost without changing the pistons. So that will prolly be a different build. For now we will stick with n/a.

I looked into it and the 94-98 351w blocks didnt.come with tty bolts and many have re used them. Its about 140 for the kit. Ive done them before but not surd if i want to spend the money. Still on the fence tho.

Bought an injector refresh kit today off EBay. Like this model here: Bosch Type I V8 Universal Injectors Seal Kit Orings Set | eBay For some reason the lightning 351w came with puny 19 lb injectors, so i am going to swap in a set of 24 lb units. Hopefully will try to get a head bolted up...

Well i going to make an effort to get the 1 missing head gasket this week sometime. Does anyone know if i can re-use the stock head bolts? Are they TTY style or not? Also do i have to seal the threads? Possibly thinking about ARP studs, i have also put them on my Diesel.

I'm currently working on a 351w, id say go for the 351 at least so the block has potential to take more horesepower.

Got a nice purolator filter on it. Also two pictures of the heads i picked up used. Came with 1.6 roller rockers and the girdle. Currently waiting on one more head gasket. For some reason the local auto store only had 1 in stock. Will clean up the heads and slap them on as soon as i get the gasket.
