I spent a couple hours after class today getting the roof all done. Its all ready for primer now. better shot of the upper nose piece.

finally blocked the rest of the roof today. I have to go back over everything with 80 grit to get it ready for primer, and fill in a couple pin holes and such.

see tthe problem was it was still stuck in the pores or pits, I could have sandblasted it but that risks warping the roof in addition to being very messy.

got the rest of the rust off of the roof I hammered out most of the dents and started blocking one side. my arms are killing me ha. half of the roof wirewheeled blocked

I was talking to the bodyshop owner today and he told me that the surface rust on the roof could comeback to bite me in the ass, he advised that I get rid of it completely and not just seal it up. I tried pretty much everything, sanding it wire wheeling it, I finally tried some muriatic acid and...

its called "underhood" black. i get it at napa, its like 10 bucks a can, its not cheap but it works perfect.

took advantage of the nice weather today and got the rear quarter all blocked and ready for primer. also got some goodies in the mail today. shelby taillights taillight bezels gaskets electric trunk popper/latch PIAA headlights, same exact model used on the movie car.

spent most of the morning sandblasting and painting interior parts. ash tray back seat trap door same texture as the doors glove box latch cleaned and re greased installed

Did a little more after work tonight. wire wheeled/sanded all of the surface rust off the rocker/door jamb. I used a little icing on the spot welds where the quarter was welded to hide any imperfections. ignore the paper covering the wiring, I couldn't get the masking tape in there.

since the weather has been anything but nice, I spent most of today doing some of the boring stuff. I stripped the door jambs and rockers, some mild surface rust in a couple spots but nothing a wire wheel cant fix. Then I scraped off all of the old watershield glue and old caulking from...

These were on back order but finally got these in the mail today. buttons installed and the new cover ready to go on. all done whole assm put a fresh coat of paint on the back while i was at it
