help with 65 mustang front valence & bumper

Without looking it up, I'm not sure if its stone guard or valance first; but I agree with everything else Mike65 said. On my car, they left the valance on when they repainted the car :-( A couple years ago I swapped out the radiator and painted the front inner fenders and the framing underneath...

    Headers and exhaust

Ford Racing is the same recommendation I gave Jenney on another thread :-) While I haven't pulled the trigger, it is what I would put on. I'll have catch up with you at Log Cabin some night and hear them.

    2015 mustang interior

The current Mustang has old electronics in it. Heck the remote start isn't even part of the key. So the 2015 is finally going to get a major upgrade from that standpoint. So it appears they took all that stuff from newer cars and are testing it out. I just hope the Mustang continues to have an...

    hi everyone

Welcome. I think black would be best. Should be visible enough to see but suble enough so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

working on C4 tranny, have a couple questions

Thanks Mike. After posting this, I spent another hour or so googling (and posted on another forum as well), found little, but what you said seems to be the case. With 71 & up, each end was a different spline count so it only goes in only one way; I suspect that is why most places don't bother...

working on C4 tranny, have a couple questions

Next issue is the input shaft. Mine has 26 splines on both ends (from a '70), so it can go in either way. But the length of the splines are different, so not sure which way it goes in :-( Googling hasn't come up with anything definitive yet.

    Hi All!

Thanks. Keep trying. I believe it took a few days after I got my VIN before it showed up on line. The complete link that you put in the browser's address bar should be something like: Untitled Page NOTE: just click the above; I cannot get it to leave the real text for the link (here it is again...

    Hi All!

Welcome. I remember the torture when I ordered by '11 and waited. Keep in touch with the dealer and get your VIN once it is released. That typically happens a couple weeks before the build date. Then you can go online and look at your window sticker. Add your VIN to the end of this link...

I need help with my 65 coupe

The 'E' bracket is one of the 2649 in that diagram. Look about the middle of the diagram above the car. I don't see the 'F' brackets in the diagram. 2530 (middle bottom of diagram) is the bracket to the right of the 'F's. The L shapes 2649 (upper left of diagram) are welded to the tunnel on my...

I need help with my 65 coupe

I'll post pics if you get back to my other thread about the shift leveler seal on the tranny :) Seriously though, I did take some pics when I went under yesterday. I'm under the car because I'm stripping the junk so I can paint it before the motor & tranny go back in. While J does look like...

I need help with my 65 coupe

J holds the rear end bump stump rubber (at the end of the tunnel). F are e-brake holders. There are some on either side of the frame rail where the cable goes through. I'll be under again today, I'll try to determine which side of the frame F is for.

working on C4 tranny, have a couple questions

Thought I'd give an update. Tranny still not together :( Why things just takes so long sometimes... I got my washer and bushing kits only to find that they did not fit. Further investigation proved that I have '70 internals. When it was rebuilt a few years back, they must have done that. The...
