Im pretty sure the springs are the same from '79-'04 as long as theyre both v8 cars. I dont know about v6's but I know the 4 banger and v8 springs are different.

Ive got 255/60/15 MT ET Street drag radials on mine. Now I kinda wish I bought 16's so I didnt have mismatched wheels when driving with the dr's on. 16's in the front and 15's in the rear looks ghetto.

Are you keeping the power brakes or ditching them too? Looking at this makes me think maybe I shouldve atleast washed my engine bay while the motor was out.

It will bolt on but wont match the other side and the inner fender wont bolt up either. There a 1" difference in the lower front edge of the fenders. Just get the right fender for your car.

Pull the code(s) using the harness connector and a jumper wire (I know I found the info on how to do that on Stangnet.com) and look up the code(s). When mine blinked it was for the evp solenoid thing on the back of the egr. I just had to clean it.

Definately proves that a stock one is worth more. Ive seen stock '93's sell for $17k. Basically when modding youre better off with just an LX or GT and cloning a Cobra.

Shit, I just remembered he's still got an 8" but it has Explorer brakes and 5 lug axles (aftermarket). Sorry for the confusion. Explorers have 5 lugs and rear discs. I dont know what a swap would cost. Shouldnt be too terribly expensive if you use used parts and have new perches welded on.

You would have to weld on spring perches. 8.8's do fit. My friend has a '67 with an Explorer 8.8

Probably too much of a drive but I had Clifton Park Engine Rebuilders (Saratoga county) resurface my Windsor Sr's and do a valve job this summer and it was $350+ tax. Thats the normal price range for that kind of work. Some Napa's have a machine shop that will do heads too.

'82 GT FTW. The taillights on '82's are awesome too though. I hate the LX tails. I put '92 GT tails on mine.

If I remember right with a v6 youll need to change the k member to a v8 one.
