Welcome. I do not have experience with that year. But I believe the switch is attached to the pedal somehow. Does the pedal fade as you hold it? If so, then made just a minor adjustment is needed. LEDs shouldn't draw too much power, so if they light up they shouldn't have a problem staying lit...- mabcim

Need advice dropping a 302 into my 65
I recently had the engine and tranny out of my 64 1/2. It is a 289 with an automatic. I pulled it out as one complete unit (engine and tranny) and put it back in as one complete unit.
