Supercharger or Turbo, let the debate begin!

Chris, your treatise on the different types of boost and how they work was exactly what this science teacher needed an education in understanding why each system does what it does. Are turbo Mustangs that uncommon or is it that Superchargers are more cost friendly and easier to install? Do you...

Supercharger or Turbo, let the debate begin!

Now, I know the majority of cost is installation, so when you mentioned that you did it by yourself in one day... what is your level of mechanical inclination, tools needed, the amount of top of your lung cursing you did during the installation and were you terrified you would destroy your...

Supercharger or Turbo, let the debate begin!

Help me understand this saying, in that "the supercharger is always on and the turbo is their only when you need it." Somebody in trying to explain the difference between the 2 said this to me and it needs more clarification. So, far what I have learned from you my NY Mustang brethren, is that...

Supercharger or Turbo, let the debate begin!

The car the that would be receiving this mod., is an 09' GT manual transmission. At this point the budget is about 5K and I'm still not sure if thats enough for it to be installed. My understanding is that turbo is more expensive but less wear and tear on engine, supercharger cheaper but more...

Supercharger or Turbo, let the debate begin!

You guys were awesome in helping research a shifter. So, now the ultimate mod is boost. Do you supercharge or turbo, if so which one do you recommend? Why? Which system do you prefer? Why? Who did the installation and the actual price of the whole thing? Looking forward to your anwers and thanks.

    FRPP pkgs worth it?

Has anyone had the different pkgs from FRPP installed on their S197? If so, what were they and in your opinion on whether or not they did what you expected, were they worth the money and where did you have the pkgs. installed? For example I read on one forum one member looking to convert his...

Yes, those, as long as they will fit stock 18" rims, the BRS looks like the answer. Thank you.

Thanks the view when NOT driving is amazing. I originally wanted the white to put blue shelby stripes on it but the blue I think would not look good with how black the glass roof makes it look. So I think I'm going with a black hood scoop, spoiler and window louvers ala 69' Mach 1. So far its...

    Spinner caps

Now that everybody realizes that I wasn't trying to "gangsta" my Mustang, with spinners, as opposed to spinner CAPS, thanks for the website 1qwkvert, I let you know if they fit my 18" rims. I have seen them with the pony in the center cap and like them better than the blue oval, so we will see.

    Spinner caps

I have a 2009 GT with the stock 18" polished aluminum wheels and am looking for spinner caps that fit the 18" rim. The sites I usually use, CJ Pony parts and Silver Horse Racing have them only for 17" and 16" rims. Anybody know of a website that has what I'm looking? Thanks

    Let the shifter debate begin!

I want the Hurst look but I'm not sacrificing quality and performance just because it looks a certain way. Let me know if you get it and I will do the same.

    Let the shifter debate begin!

I believe the only place you can get them is MGW itself. Here is the website: www.mgwltd.com Let me know what you think, I was impressed, I'm curious to see if you can change the shifter ball to that classic cue ball look. Thanks for the reply.

Alright, I'm tired, already, of being the one that doesn't know how to get pictures attached to my threads. Some help please. Where did most of you come up with some of the really creative pictures of your Stangs?

    Let the shifter debate begin!

Your help has been appreciated. In speaking to Joe at Mustang Magic he told me the Hurst is the only one that customers have asked him to uninstall 3x's, yikes. The T-handle Hurst that 06' Mach 1 has is different from the cue ball one I was looking at maybe that is why it doesnt rattle? The...

    Let the shifter debate begin!

Trying to decide on a short throw for my 09'. Originally was set on the Hurst because of its classic look but the more I read and hear, it rattles like crazy and that bothers me. I am leaning towards the MGW from what Ive seen on their website but would love to hear from all of you who have done...

I called Mustang Magic yesterday and the install would be 120 + the shifter itself. Dont have a price from them yet on the shifter. However as I started to research the shifter and spoke to Mustang Magic the feedback on the Hurst is causing me to re-think if that is the shifter of choice for my...
