Hey HID Guy,

I've been told you are the man to go to for some HID's. I have a black 99' cobra but will be putting a 03-04 cobra bumper on soon and am looking to swap out my stock headlights although i am not positive with the exact Kelvin's I'm looking for. I'd like the lights to be mostly white with a hint of blue. Also I'm contemplating on doing the fogs at the same time but not sure if i will have the funds at this time, can you work out any type of package/combo deal for the full works.

For sure, as for color I suggest the 6k, perfect nice clean white, brightest for output and most everyones personal favorite, but well we are posting a Big Sale tonight, but all HID kits will be an additional 15% off for the next 5 days starting midnight tonight (pacific time), so basically as for packages that will be double the savings of any package deal we normally give away.

So i decided to go with the regular stock cobra front bumper not the termi for my 99 cobra.. and am finally ready to purchase these HID's. 6k sounds good to me. Still not sure if i will get the headlights and fog lights all at once, but so i can weigh out my options, what are the prices of each & both together.. any chance labor day sale could extend one more day, i didn't know i was missing the deal by one day damn! by the way, these are the headlights i put on, 6k should go fine with that tint right?

The tint is fine, but honestly all tinted housings tend to show more color because it keeps most of the lighting inside, but well it won't be too bad if you go with the 6k. Also the 99-01 cobra bumper uses a different bulb type (link below):

yea i am i actually out by my car with the computer right now... i did purchase the Hi Lo head lights, and for now i just need them to work tonight i can worry about the fogs later

Well the Hi and Lo kit consits of the one big wiring harness, bi-xenon bulbs and 2 ballasts.

First take the ballasts and find the perfect flat areas to mount them and make sure the areas are nice and clean. On the drivers side we mount the ballast between the fender wall and battery; on the passengers side either under the intake or against the fender wall right where the corner meets the header panel.

Bulbs are pretty simple, just basically swap out the stock bulbs and your good to go. Now the harnessing; you will want to keep the bulkiest part of the harness on the drivers side so you may hide it between the battery and front header panel. You will only have one connector that meets with your stock harness, and that you want to plug into the drivers side harness. There will be a longer strand of wiring with 2 connections that meet with the passenger side ballast and Hi Lo function on the passenger side bulb (we suggest running the wiring under your radiator cover to hide it best.

Finally on the harnessing just make sure you find solid clean ground points (preferrably on your battery ground terminal) and tighten down the positive ring terminals on your battery's positive terminal aand your off and running.

It's always best to make sure your car is on once your ready to test the kits, OEM batteries are terrible in holding enough juice and you might kill your battery.

Thanks for the quick responses and directions a few days ago, thankfully i was able to install the headlights fairly easily and able to keep my weekend plans of going away.. Anyway, now that i am home again i would like to complete the HID install and hook up the fog lamp HID's... Got any good directions/mounting spot suggestions on this 99 cobra bumper??

Everything is pretty simple; the only suggestion I have is placing the ballasts between the 2 main beams that make up the front bumper support, just make sure the area you mount them at is very clean and you should have no issues.
