I'm building a boosted car with a Systemax right now. I believe it has been out much longer than the RPM II lol.
Anyways, you have a lot of things going on here. Are you planning on building a stroker? AFR 205's and Vic. Jr's are too big for a 302 / 306 unless they are specific to a large boost or nitrous application. They will work with a 331 / 347 with boost. The camshaft is a whole different animal and needs to be applied correctly.

Yes. I'm gonna be doing a 347 Stroker more than likely, possibly a 331.

My current plans are to build the 302 though, so I'm probably confusing people lol. So for now I guess we'll focus on this 302 and then once I'm ready to do the 347 we'll get to that info lol. After all I wanna boost this for now and then go from there. Def wanna upgrade the internals though so I can be able to purchase a big boost capable supercharger. Sorry for the confusion.

Better yet, if I just choose to boost this 302 now and change the parts needed, what should I look for? And change out for the S/C set-up? I didn't mod this car btw, so I've only listed the things I know are done.

The internals will hold up much longer than the block will. Just slap a supercharger on it and call it a day. Or drive the car how it is and build up a 347 on the side and put it in when its done, no sense in buying the same stuff twice.

Yea I think I'm just gonna swap to the Systemax for now, then supercharge this, but I wanna switch the cam to a blower cam, and everything else will stay the same other than valley girdles and main support that way she can handle some decent power.

Btw how does your car sound with the SLP's? I loved them on my 2011. My fox sounds good, but sounds like she's bottled up with the Flowmaster catback. So I'm thinking about changing it, especially since I'd rather have a SS exhaust will polished tips, rather than aluminum.

I like it, but with the foxes the slps definitely sound different than a mod motor with the slps. I would take a look at the Bassani catbacks, the issue I have with my exhaust is that it has a rat, or blatty sound to it from like 2500 to 3000 rpms, anything before and after I like though, lol.

Yea I just want something a little more aggressive. The Flowmasters sound too restrictive. Guess I could always do dumps lol. I also gotta decide on a supercharger and a good blower cam that way I'll be ready for the supercharger. Gotta find out what heads this car actually has though first. Since it has a B303 cam I could probably switch to any of the Ford Racing Cams X, F, Z or whatever, but I don't know if I like their cams as theirs aren't custom grind. So I might check into Comp.

Ah just seen you have an X pipe too, they could be part of the reason you get that sound. Mine has the H, so it should be a tad bit deeper and less raspy. Without cats were both gonna have rasp though obviously. Too many choices lol.

Procharger and Vortech both make good supercharger kits, the Vortech would be the easier one to install. The F cam works pretty good with a s/c or even the stock cam would work well with it also.

Well my notch already has a B 303, so if I stick with Ford Racing I'd go with one of the 3 probably the F or the Z, I think both are blower cams, the X might be as well. I still like comp though, so a custom ground blower cam would be badass. As far as Supercharger I was thinking of Vortech, just not sure which model. I'd like to be able to have around 600rwhp, and I obviously know I've gotta get main support and valley girdles, maybe new internals as well, although some say the internals stock are capable, but I might do it to be safe.

For that application VORTECH, but the there is PAXTON. To make the application complete, you will have to swap internals. When doing conversions like u want never underestimate components needed. The cost to the work in the long term impacts the decisions; as you are aware of. You can easily get over 500 RWP.

600 rwhp on a stock block is a time bomb waiting to happen, the only way to do it safely is with the Dart or Boss block. Yes, there have been people that have had a stock block last around the power for a while, but it's not going to last.

Oh I know that for sure, the block is the weak link, but when doing a google search several sites had guys saying with main support and valley girdles she's capable, but if not, that's cool. I'll just forget that and do the 331 Stroker kit instead since it'd be about the same cost in the end.

^Some 302s can last a while like that, but to ensure that the power can be handled for a long time, an after market block is needed. I know that some people have to use a stock block for their classes, and use girdles to try to get them to last the whole season, and when they took the block out it already split down the middle of the lifter valley.

Yea my plans I think have changed again anyway lol. I'm thinking of just buying a built or rebuilt (and then having it built) 351w. I've found from plenty of reading the last couple days that it's more than capable of handling the said wanted power, and can also make around 400-450rwhp N/A. So with boost I should be able to meet my goals. Plus they say it's pretty reliable as well as interchangeable with most 302 parts. So I may be looking to go that route.
