What do you guys think.Did he deserve to get his ass beat? Personally i think he deserved the beating he caught.He was resisting arrest.Obviously he did some dumb shit to be in that predicament,just give it up your in a no win situation

He resisted arrest but the cop went WAYYYYYY overboard. That leg looks broken too. They need tasers..that would stop him asap.

uhhhh excessive much.

2 cops and one guy on the ground, they could have easily gotten him on his stomach with basic defensive tactics moves, like the arm bar hammer lock or the wrist twist and turned him on his stomach.

I smell a law suit.

Im just being honest, as a recruit going through the police academy now..... that was uncalled for.

I somewhat agree with you Jules.But i am also a firm believer of,you mess with the bull you get the horns :smash:

He deserved it, hes a stupid ass he should of just listened to them and then none of that would of happend and now it will turn into a big deal and cops will not want to do anything because they get in trouble for doing their job stupid people man

We won't have to worry about doing anything as long as we are justified in doing them. I honestly can not see how he was justified in hitting the guy with his impact weapon while he was on the ground. Sure he wasn't cooperating but there was 2 officers, they could have controlled the guy with their personal weapons or just OC'd him.

Im just a bit disappointed since I thought I would actually see one of the cops kick him in the ass............

As a criminal justice student not knowing the circumstances of what went down repeatdly beating him might have been a violation of the NYPD's use of force continuum. Obivosly the first step was the 2 officers mere pressence then if that doesn't work there are the verbal commands and sense he was resisting he didn't foloow their verbal commands. The next step would be to use unarmed physical force which the one officer used to try and trun him so he could cuff him. So in my opinion it was justified the officers followed the general guidelines for the use of force contiuum, now I don't know what the NYPD has for a use of force continuum but I would put him on administrative leave until I.A. came up with a decision. Personally I think that all of the blows begins to border on police brutality.

i guess u didn't see the cops video when they tazered a 6ft tall guy and he pulled the prongs out and they had to use 3 different taser guns and they still didn't stop him they had to jump him and beat him down. :awesomework:


do you guys also realize this was setup the camera is inside of a bag the dark edges are the bag the camera was in and what are the chances someone will be carrying a video camera when this happened, and i highly doubt a law suit considering some of the video is missing.

i definitely agree i mean it is a no win situation i mean the guy was being a clown but the cops have 100 ways to get rowdy people in check i mean its done and over with so lets just watch for the outcome

once again the video shows the aftermath and not what took place before the video was shot, the guy wouldnt comply, i for one am not gonna get on a floor and wrestle with a guy having a gun on my side that he could get ahold of, they kept giving verbal orders which the guy refused to obey, and after the first hit he knew what was gonna happen, i feel they were justified, hey at least they didnt crack him in the head even though looks like he needed it.
