Burning an ECM

Okay, I dont own a mustang, but I do have a 1989 5.0 non mass air flow engine I am swapping into my 1973 classic Bronco. My question is this, where can I ship my ECM to have it reburnt to eliminate the air pump and egr valve? Any help is appreciated.

You have to chip those ECU's and that particular one may not be covered by any tuning software.

Thank you, anyone know the resistor trick to turn the MIL off if I eliminate the EGR?

You can just buy this direct plug in deal or buy the resistors and make one.

u should just be able to unplug the connectors to the egr and smog the computer will shut all of it off,,,,,mine did,

It may not throw a light but if you just unplug it all there will be a code. Alot of the 5.0's didn't throw codes. I ran my 90 Gt parts car with no h-pipe, no o2's hooked up and it STILL didn't throw one!:smash:

EGR only works at part throttle/idle anyways, at WOT it is shut off.
