looking for 79 2.3 turbo info and parts

i have a low milage 1979 indy pace car in great shape im looking to put it back to oe and remove the 302 in it and aod and put the stand trans and 2.3 turbo motor back in let me know if you have any pics or parts laying around that are for sale or need a home thanks

Yeah, but same block and essentially motor minus turbo. Also with all the new parts what have 0 miles on them, I offered him a good deal.

The 90 lx 2.3 doesnt have forged pistons as the carbed and injected tubo motors did.

Nogoslow98, I have several 2.3 turbo cars, one is highly modified 1979 2.3 draw thru turbo that I purchased new in 1979 that I have been modifing over the years and if It works on a Fox chassis I will know about it. On a chassis dyno I make 412 hp and torque of 417lbs and a 150hp shot of wet Nos added up thats about that's about 562 hp at the rear wheels = 10.94@123.41 in good air with 9" slicks. I have many parts to these cars but if you are purchasing parts you might as well up date to lots of SN-95 pieces for chassis and the OEM (79) head is a oval port head and the D-port head flows better, but none of these problems are insurmountable.
