Thanks for the offer, I am in Massapequa. I will give it a shot this weekend and see if I can identify which piece is at fault. The passenger works from the driver and passenger side switches along with the back windows. If I had to guess I would say it was the motor although I am really hoping it is the switch.
Ok, I meant before if the passenger side switch moved the driver's side window at all. I'm not sure how the vert switches are but are there four switches in the driver's side for the four windows and two or four switches on the passenger's side? It could very well be the driver's side switch if the passenger side switch can roll the driver's side window down. But if the passenger side switch that controls the front drivers side doesn't move it, then it would be the drivers side motor that is out. Not sure if you will be able understand what I said, even I'm a bit iffy on what I said.

If you do have to replace the driver's side window motor, it isn't that hard to do. There are three bolts that hold the window motor in, the only difficult part is getting the window motor gear to go in, you have to use the switch turn it so it pops in.
