Well my upper radiator hose attachment is leaking pretty bad, so ordered a new BeCool radiator. Just wondering if it would be worth removing the A/C condensor to help with better cooling. The cr is a convertible and in 5 yrs of ownership, I have never used the AC. Do you think I will see improved cooling by removing the condensor? Any suggestions would be great.

Up untill I noticed the upper radiator neck leaking the car usually runs anywhere from 180-200 depending on how hot it is out. Tuesday night on the way home from a meet the car reached almost 200, when I got home I looked around and found the leak. I just thought since I have the cooling system apart and it would be easy and convient to remove it now. Like I said I never used the AC so I am not sure it would be worth keeping it. Also how safe would it be to just discharge the freon?

I have used the A/C repeatedly this summer when it was 90+ and I had the top down it kept. You would be surprised how much difference it makes.
Yea, I don't think it would make much difference, especially if the cooling system is working correctly otherwise every car with A/C would have cooling issues.
With the A/C off the clutch on the pulley is disengaged so there is no loss of power to speak of and if it is on, most times the loss of power is of no issue. If you are in a situation where you need all you got

If you want the a/c discharged, you need to take it somewhere that has the machine to evacuate the lines. I wouldn't recommend any of the making a hole in the line ideas to discharge it though. I'm surprised you haven't used your ac this year, its been so hot out that I had my ac charged back up and it is great to finally not sweat my ass off in the car!! The windows down don't do enough, the floor gets hot, along with the dash, and center console... just isn't good! Lol.
