275 for the rear all the work is going to be done on my lift and the swap price for the gears is going to be done by a friend of mines, so i am set and my powertrain warranty runs out at 60k miles i already have 18k miles on the car. i might have something planned if you checked out the other thread you might know what it is

and be careful with that swap. ford can say that anything that goes wrong with the car is because it wasnt meant to power an 8.8

the 8.8 is whats used in the 4.0 rangers, so theyd have their heads up their asses.


and my friend used an FRPP 7.5 T-lok. but keep in mind that it was built with the 150hp bronco II's in mind, not a 200rwhp mustang.

Understanding why would mean you would have to know what my plans are for my car, I am going to need the 8.8 you will see this year

You are going to need a cobra flange to bolt that up to your driveshaft. make sure you torque the pinion nut right or you will burn out your bearing or snap off your pinion shaft. Still if you are going to swap gears think you would have been money ahead to buy an 8.8 with the gears you wanted in it. the swap over to the 8.8 is a snap do you anti lock brakes yeah yours is a pony pkg so you do.

V6 doesnt come with ABS and the 8.8 with the gears alone is $950.00 + shipping, I spent $275.00 on the 8.8 , Got the tuner for dirt cheap from a fellow member, 4.10's gears plus motive installation and bearing kits $227.98 shipped, Installation done by friend.

I picked up a super chips tuner today for 100 so my grand total is $602.00 8.8 rear , tuner, gears, installation kit.
