ahh....about the preventing of detonation....If I was just running the stock 8psi boost setting then would that really be an issue? Or is it really just the fact of being able to get more boost? Thanks a lot

There is nothing stock about boosting a car. Detonation could always occur. I would feel much safer with and intercooler people run 10pounds without intercoolers and are fine but if you decide to go higher then you will want one for sure.

yes thats exactly what I was thinking....Thanks a lot.....What I meant by stock boost levels is that the kit comes with a tune for 8psi.. I was thinking this way cause its a way of still getting blown but knowing that the intercooler could still be added down the line and the boost could be turned up!

Yeah you could add it down the road but your already installing, I would just get it out of the way. Also as a suggestion, get a custom tune done. A preloaded tune normally set you rich plus you could get some extra power out of your new investment.:awesomework: Good luck dude.

Supercharged is much easier route, and def go intercooled
U will make 350-430rwhp with suppoting mods

My 2v is fully built NA making 332rwhp 354rwtq
Gone a best of 12.2 @ 110mph about 3,600lbs with driver

And then i have a teeny shot of nitrous on top of that

Still unsure of exactly witch way Im going...I kinda like the idea of having boost:evil:
Might just do some of the supporting mods for this season and start to save again:nono: That is the crapy time!

VT Stage 2 heads from back in the day when VT was still in business, my car would probably make great gains with the trick flow heads, but too much money I'll just add a blower or turbos one day on top of the spray lol
