Issues pumping gas

Okay - recently the gas tank wont let me fill it - it keeps cutting off every $0.50 this is really frustrating as sometimes gas comes back out and down the side which results in washing her everytime I fill up - any one else having issues with pumping gas and the cut offs - and has anybody been able to fix it -

The guy at my gas station says he sees this in a lot of Mustangs??

There was a TSB issued from ford about this problem.I had it happen a few times but never went back to the dealer about it.Hasnt happened in a while to me but I have heard from other owners and alot of people on other forums complaining about it

I used to have it happen a lot right when I got the car. I dont think its happened in about a year so I completly forgot about the issue. I do recall a TSB about it but I never went into ford for it.

Seems like pressure is building 2 quickly between the tank and fill so the pump cuts off. Try changing the angle of the nozzle by 90 degrees and the speed of the flow, should go down nice and easy.

Yeah - been there done that - still does not help - I talked to the dealer today - I am bringing it in Friday - they say this is a very common issue.

The tsb does not work. All they do is put in a newer crossover tube that is supposed to equalize the pressure. Some have had luck, but most do not.

I used to have it happen a lot right when I got the car. I dont think its happened in about a year so I completly forgot about the issue. I do recall a TSB about it but I never went into ford for it.

Same here, although it did happen last week, it's the first time in a long while. Then again I don't get gas very often

I get gas all the time - may have something to do with the fact I like to drive it like a MUSTANG!~ Two speeds - FAST and FASTER

I to had that problem when I first got the car. I was told to try different gas stations which i did and honestly I have not had that problem In over a year.

never happened to me... i have to put gas in my stang every day

It's a design flaw in the fill system, it is impossible to fill the tank if it's already 1/2 full.
