I was going to put this in the WTB forum, but it appeared to be mostly for parts. Figured this was the best place but move it if ya must, mods...
Anyway, this is what I'm looking for:
5-speed GT COUPES, anywhere between '96 and '01, have $4500 to spend.
Car must be stock or really close to it. No basketcases, no projects you ran out of money to finish, no wrecks, no motor swaps, no hacked-up sound systems, I think you get the picture. Cat-back (no O/R H or X), short-throw, things like that are common and don't necessarily bother me as long as the car has been cared for.
All-original is good- this is going to be a daily driver for me. Mileage should be 125K or lower.
Cloth/leather- impartial either one is ok- interior must be clean, though.
Car must be presentable in and out. No rust! And no V6's, I might give consideration to a nice 99+ with 5-speed, though.
I'm located in Newburgh. To give you an idea of distance- about 75 mins from NYC, 90 mins to LI (have a friend in Bay Shore, takes 2 1/2 hrs to get out there), and about 75 mins to Albany. I'm not against a drive to look at a car...
I'm also open to trading my '03 Focus if you're looking for something to DD, first car for your kid, whatever the purpose. It's in good shape in and out. I want no less than $4000 for it cash value, so I can throw *some* cash in on the deal...
