Wheel studs broke, axle removal help

I recently broke off a wheel stud and when I looked at the length of them, I need to remove the Axles to remove and replace them. The only problem is, THIS is what my rear end looks like (the way I bought it, I was expecting C-Clips and spider gears).

I think its a spool but Rear ends aren't my thing :nono:

Yes that is a spool which means you have c-clip eliminators on the axles. There are 4 nuts (or bolts) behind the brake backing plate holding the backing plate and c-clip eliminators on. Take them out and slide the axles out. Just be careful as the backing plates will be loose as well.

they are 3 1/2 inch studs and is there any link you can give me to a picture of where those 4 bolts are (are the in the back of the spindle?) I will take a picture and highlight some areas and maybe you could point them out to me?

EHA Racing hit the nail on the head. It was C clip elim and the 4 bolts behind the hub freed up the axle and I pulled it with a slide hammer. Thanks a ton!
