The Formula Drift series is New Jersey this weekend for the fourth round of the season, and the two Ford Mustang drivers, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Justin Pawlak, are looking to improve their position in the standings. Both have done well at Wall Speedway in the past, with at least one finishing on the podium in the last few years and Gittin taking the overall win in 2012.
This year looks promising for the Mustang contingent as well, as Pawlak took the top spot in yesterday’s qualifying session. Not only does that mean a few extra points, but he’ll potentially have an easier bracket during the knockout rounds. Gittin didn’t do quite as well, qualifying in 11th, but should be a contender nonetheless.
