The last time we checked in with Central Florida Motorsports the company had netted a low 11 second 1/4 mile with their 2011 Mustang V6, making it the fastest of its kind in the world. Since then they have improved even more on that time, recently netting their first 10 second 1/4 mile run with a 10.895 second pass at 125.37 mph.
So how did Central Florida Motorsports manage to turn the relatively docile Mustang V6 into a terror at the drag strip? ProCharger’s D1 centrifugal supercharger system is at the heart of the upgrades, producing 13 pounds of boost, and that combined with 80 lb/hr fuel injectors, BBK longtube headers, a BBK off-road x-pipe, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust and a methanol injection system the engine produces around 550 rwhp. Traction is aided by a Steeda adjustable control arm, BMR lower control arms and Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial tires mounted on lightweight Race Star wheels.
