POPS Classes & Rules
Street
- Open to any Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury Vehicle
- Any Ford Engine Allowed (No Cubic Inch Limit)
- Current Registration and Insurance Required
- Street Tires Only (No Drag Radials or Special Tires)
- Exhaust and Mufflers required
- Full Interior (factory seatbelts required) and Unmodified Body
- Stock Type Suspension
- Fiberglass limited to hoods
- Open to any Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury Vehicle
- Any Ford Engine Allowed (No Cubic Inch Limit)
- DOT Approved Tires
- Mufflers Required
- Stock Type Suspension, Modifications allowed as long as it remains the stock configuration of the car (no Back Half Cars)
- Stock Unmodified Wheel-wells
Pro
- Any Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury Vehicle
- Any Ford Engine Allowed (No Cubic Inch Limit)
- Anything goes (if you need to ask it probably legal)
- Heads-up start with handicap
- Pro Tree Start
- Car must run on index (dialed time), Competitors index is determined by the fastest of 3 qualifying runs with no breakout
- All Ford Cars and Trucks allowed must be Ford powered
- No Electronics (delay Boxes, Cross Talk, Ect.) Transbrakes allowed in DOT & PRO Classes
- Mufflers May be Required in Pro Class Depending on Track Rules
- All Safety Rules apply for the Track Sanctioning Body (NHRA / IHRA)
- All Cars Are Subject to a Safety and Class Inspection; the POPS Tech rulings are final as to classification of the cars and safety issues.
- Air Shifters Allowed in PRO Class Only.
- Must run a Driveshaft safety loop with any Slick tire. Driveshaft loop encouraged on any car running a “sticky” tire!
