Plate-less front bumper

I have been searching all over for a stock looking GT bumper with out the "dimple" for the front plate and cannot find one any where. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

Every factory front bumper is gonna have those dimples. I had the ones on mine filled in when they painted it. Not a big deal to do. If you are buying one and have to have it painted, just have them fill it in.

How did you fill it in?! I was told bondo and fiberglass would be a bad idea and just crack and fall of since it is so deep and they aren't as flexible as the bumper is

Stock bumpers are basically plastic. Most aftermarket bumpers are urethane. Both can be filled in. I do not do body work so I do not know the names but it was blue . But if it is fiberglass any good shop can glass them in. I have a fiberglass specialist near me.
I am sure body guys will chime in.

Alright thanks! Did it come out looking as nice as I picture it? I just want a clean front end with no distractions like an ugly license plate!

I don't believe he is referring to the dimples for the plate screws rather the "indentation" on the sides of where the plate goes.

1990_Lx is right I'm referring to the full thing so its smooth across like a cobra bumper would be

His post stated the "dimples". Even so, any good shop can fill it it. Where is the OP located? I am on my phone and cannot see. I have a few guys that do bodywork. I would ask our site sponsor mm auto. They will have the best answer.

I live in Utica. I talked to my Dads friend that does body work and he said fiberglass or bondo in that big of an area would not hold well. Sorry for the confusion on another forum everyone was calling it a dimple

Yeah, an area that big that would require that much filler would crack. I really don't know of what you could do short of cutting that piece out, plastic welding in a new piece and filling the "welds". That would be pretty hard to get the same contour of the bumper and you'd probably always see it in the reflection.

I was thinking about trying that. I heard that you can buy a bumper with out the indent but I can't find one anywehre

whoever told you that is wrong, there is not currently a GT/V6/mach 1 bumper on the market without the location for the license plate.

this is very unfortunate! I guess its time to try the plastic welding, anyone have any experience?
