Yesterday we were witness to the unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang in Hollywood, CA, one of six events around the world that introduced the next generation pony car to the world. The wraps were taken off in front of the famous TLC Chinese Theatre, where we got our first in-person look at the car and took plenty of photos that we showed you yesterday.
While that event was only open to a select group of journalists, Ford didn’t want to leave out the huge community of Mustang owners and enthusiasts in Southern California. After the media event Ford loaded up the Race Red 2015 Mustang GT into a trailer and trucked it over to Venice Beach, giving an open invitation to anyone who wanted to come and see the car. Dozens of Mustang owners showed up, filling up an entire parking lot with all years and models.
We wanted to spend some more time with the 2015 Mustang, despite inspecting it in detail only a few hours before, so we headed down to Venice Beach ourselves to join the rest of SoCal’s crazed Mustang fans. We’re glad we did, as Ford had the car parked right in front of the beach at sunset, making for some fantastic photos. You can see the results in the photo gallery below.
