That really sucks. I saw that yesterday. I'm surprised they don't have any padding around the poles. I bet they will when the next time you watch.


On a side note what I don't get is the double standard of youtube. This is a video of a guy dieing. It is up for everyone to see. I had this video below on my youtube page, and it was flaged for the last minute of the video where someone asked if the guy died in the video. Then the video was taken off my site. Now my account says it is not in good standing. Because of that video. I have emailed them a few times, and have not heard back from them what so ever.

yeah, it's incredibly sad. My doubles partner for timbersports used to luge in high school. I'm glad she's not luging any more. If she still competed, I would be begging her to quit...

I was watching some of the events a little bit ago. They were saying that the top ranked luger was all over the course, fell off his sled and those staying on were going much slower than in earlier training. It's just heart-breaking though....
