Magnuson has announced new pricing for the MagnaCharger MP2300 TVS Supercharger for the 2011+ Ford Mustang 5.0. Starting at just $6050 for the black powder coated finish (or $6150 for the FR Blue finish pictured above), the MP2300 TVS Supercharger system produces 8-8.5 psi of boost and 545+ hp while remaining 50-state emissions legal under CARB EO# D-488-18. The supercharger system is also available with an optional 3-year/36,000 mile or 5-year/60,000 mile powertain warranty, respectively priced at $275 and $475.
Magnuson’s supercharger system for the 2011+ Mustang 5.0 is unique from other twin-screw or roots style blowers in that it uses a front-drive/front-inlet design keeps the incoming air flow straight and avoids restriction and turbulence as much as possible. The short-runner manifold also maximizes air flow and minimizes restriction with no loss of low-end response. Magnuson’s unique offset idler pulley setup also helps to maximize belt contact with the pulley and reduces the possibility of slippage by maintaining 270° of belt wrap no matter what diameter pulley is used. Installation of the Magnuson supercharger is also relatively simple, due to the fact that the system does not require removal of the FEAD (accessory belt) system or modification to the timing cover. It also reuses as many factory components as possible, resulting in a very factory-looking installation that maintains the reliability and accessibility of the stock components. Tuning the vehicle’s computer is the responsibility of the pre-programmed SCT handheld included with the kit.
