Looking for 72 sprint convertible

I am looking for the new owner of a 72 sprint convertible. The car was is Maryland and was sold to someone in NYS last summer but the seller lost the owners information. I own one of these rare Mustangs (only 50 were made) and keep track of the remaining cars. I remember seeing those when I was a kid. It's an interesting variant of the Mustang and obviously very rare. Don't know of any in my area but if I see one I will certainly send them your way. Post some pics!

Hey wicked - do you know anything about Mustangs?

I am trying to locate the current whereabouts of one of the fifty sprint convertibles. I correspond with many of the owners of these special MUSTANGS. There are three in Europe and a few dozen in the USA. I don't want this car - it was in a junk yard for 20 years and some New Yorker bought it. My 72 sprint convertible was in the All Ford Carlisle Invitational meet last year. Perhaps you have heard of that show. This year there will be a Canadian sprint coupe there also which you probably have never heard of either.

I also own a 72 Mach1 and a 2004 Mach1 - does that give me any street cred?

New York is a nice state - I've been to Watkins Glen three times, once for a GT40 reunion in 89, a Shelby convention and Rusty's last race.

I really shouldn't respond, but I will. I do know a lot about mustangs, and the particular car you speak of. If you read my post and understood it properly, you would have a different attitude there Bud. I stated that you joined the site to look for a car, not introduce yourself, meet people, get some FACTS about issues. I wasn't blasting your intentions, You just had a different approach. So, with that in mind, good luck in your search and remember to be careful in how interpret things. Ask first.

My oldest brothers friend in high school was given a brand new Mustang fastback with this option by his dad. Too bad it didn't last to long as he put it over an enbankment.
