Difference in fenders?

Does anybody know what the difference between 87-89 and 90-93 fenders are? I have an 89 gt that I bought a 93 fender for and now I see the catalogs list them as being different. I compared the 2 and can't see a difference. Maybe a previous owner already changed and used newer one? Will a 93 bolt on to a 89? Thanks for help

..the 93 fender will bolt right on! ...the fender was changed by Ford for the 16" wheels introduced in 1991...

the only difference is in the wheelwell opening! they bolt right on from one to the other.

It will bolt on but wont match the other side and the inner fender wont bolt up either.
There a 1" difference in the lower front edge of the fenders.
Just get the right fender for your car.

the difference is the lower fender extension, thus due to the 16x7 pony wheel, if you put a 91-93 fender on your car you will need the matching lower extension, vise versa the other way, you can make it work if push comes to shove but not recommended.
