Detailed 2 cars last week. range rover sport and a jaguar xf
the range i also painted the calipers silver. The factory Brembos where beat up so i sanded them down taped off the truck and used duplicolor silver brake caliper paint in a rattle can.
I used meguirs 105, then adams fine swirl remove, meguirs glaze, and finished up with adams american carnuba wax. i washed the engine bay and treated the plastic with vinlyx. did the interior, used the vinlyx on plastic and mequirs leather treatment on the seats. The rear seat had some gunk on it and i used some leather cleaner i had for my boat and it worked well. Removed the wheels and scrubbed them down and put a coat of adams wax on them.
The Jag I did basically the same thing just different wax. I used meguirs 105, then the adams fine swirl remover. i had previously bought a turtle wax back to black kit or something like that to do my girlfriends car but its been months and still have not done it. It came with quick detailer, cleaner wax and liquid carnuba. Everything was black. It worked OK but ruined my new pads staining them black. So I followed up with the black cleaner wax then mequirs glaze and then the black carnuba.
Both cars were never waxed. The paints was messed up, entire car was scratches and swirl marks. I basically spent 2 days on each car. The range had some deep scratches that nothing could be done about. the hood basically needs to be sprayed.
