I'm sponsoring a car show up here in Hyde Park, New York (just above Poughkeepsie). This past November, we lost a fine young man to a freak auto accident just one month before his 17th birthday. His family, who have been pillars in the community ( Coppola's restaurant ) for over 50 years decided to channel their grief and untimely loss into a positive by creating the Claudio Cares foundation. The foundation will be awarding 5 students and one teacher annually with the Claudio Coppola student leadership award and distinguished teacher award. Future funds raised will set up camps in both athletics and the arts. The foundation will also help fund causes that Claudio cared deeply about such as, Autism research, Suicide prevention, and Wounded warriors.
