How are you ? So the new carb is no good. Ok that said I can help you id what you have. Can you post or email me a picture? I have a bunch of original Autolite 2100's (The carbs that came on 2bbl early v8 Mustangs).I think I've mentioned this before But I build/rebuild original Ford carbs for people. If it makes you feel any better I think that the Autolite 2100's(I;m not a big Holley fan) are the best carbs ever made for the small block Fords,That's my own biased opinion of course.

what do I think? That's a 70's Motorcraft 2150...... It's a later copy of the Autolite 2100 that originally came on your car. They aren't the worst,but they are considered amongst Ford carb afficinado's to be a "Smog carb". So should I start looking through my Autolite 2100 cores and get back to you? So I'm curious about some particulars. Your car is a 68. What is the fifth digit of the vin? Is your car a stock 289 ? A stock 302 ? Is it stick or auto? Also for fun what are the exact bad symptoms you are experiencing with this carb on your car?

Hey Ponyboy, Quick ques. I found a seat in PA. 2 hrs. away. Before I go I want to make sure it will fit. It looks like a 67 stang cover. Does the 67 seat back fit the 68 seat back? will 67 foam work w/my 68 vunyl covers? Owner is sending me more pics tonight.

This came out of a 1968 mustang but can be for a 69 as well. Has crack in the frame on the back side. (see picture) over all decent shape. Asking $60 or best offer. If you're reading this, it's still available.

For what it's worth 64-67 seats all used the same frames. The upholstery varied depending on year and interior(standard vs deluxe)as well as the foam. 64-67 seats will bolt into your car but the frames and pieces between 67 and 68 do not interchange. For what it's worth how's the frame on that one in the picture? It looks hammered where the stops are.
