Brake Fluid Change

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to drain my brake fluid out and re-fill with new fluid. It has not been done in about 4-5 years, I figure it's about time.

From what I heard the manual clutch is fed from the brake cylinder... How to I bleed the clutch on the S197s...

clutch doesnt have a bleeder! all you can do it crack the line at the trans. id take it somewhere that has a machine for brake flushes

I believe that you need a special device to bleed the ABS unit

you do not need to bleed the ABS unit unless you run the Master cylinder empty and allow air to enter the system through there. In the car that happens you can take you car to the dealer and have them do an ABS service bleed using the IDS or try performing a few hard stops allowing the ABS to activate.

No place to hook up a vacuum pump?

you can hook up a vacuum bleeder at each brake caliper bleeder screw but just make sure to keep the master cylinder full of brake fluid to avoid any more air entering the system.
