I bought this car a month ago, planning on fixing it up completely, but I've since decided to go for a newer Mustang (either '05+ GT or possibly '03-'04 Cobra). This car would make an excellent base for a racer, driver or total resto.
1991 Ford Mustang LX
167K - engine runs strong though, no ticking or other signs of serious wear
Not modified, raced or abused - reportedly owned by an old lady in Tenn. The car still has the stock air silencer and AM/FM cassette player!
No rust - southern car. The underside is clean enough to eat off of!
Red exterior - 8.5 out of 10. Recent repaint, not the best job, but a good 5'-10' paint job. This car is a driver.
Grey/black interior - a little dingy, I'd give it an 7.5-8 out of 10
AOD automatic transmission - shifts fine
Heat/AC system works great
Good condition, but the car is nearly 20 years old, it needs some minor work. This is what I see:
Passenger side outer tie-rod end
Tune up (as with any used Mustang)
Exhaust leak right after the headers
One valve cover gasket may be going
Probably should have new brakes
Passenger side door handle is broken (original plastic one)
Shocks/Struts/Quads
Door to window molding (the one that runs along the bottom of window and under the mirrors)
Power mirrors don't work (I have replacements from my last Fox that I will include)
Front headlights are yellowed (seller gave me smoked ones I will include)
Car was repainted due to paint fading and slight fender bender. When they put the driver's side fender/door back on they didn't gap it 100% perfect. Quick fix, but I've never done it so don't want to take a chance on messing it up.
Rear hatch latch needs to be fixed or replaced.

I'm very torn as this is the cleanest (no rust/no mods) Fox I've ever personally seen that wasn't being sold for an arm, leg and kidney.
I'm asking $4,500, but am very motivated, so I will consider all reasonable offers.
