i have a 5.0 302.. just got a gt 40 intake tublular .and want to know what is needed for install beside the basics...would the stock tb work ? or is there something i should /not do ...? thanks any advice is thanked....

stock tb should work if your just puttin the intake in and nothing else you dont really need sh1t else besides gaskets you might wanna upgrade the tb later thou

YEA I KNOW ...BUT THE CASH THING SUCKS.........

If it not set properly, and you get a air leak the car will run and drive like shit. If you dont seal the coolant passages correctly, anti-freeze will get into the lifter valley and then the oil pan. You will then have scorched bearings or worse. Spend a little now or alot later. You dont have anyone that can help you?

Come on here guys, is there anyone local that can help this guy out?

Do you have a service manual? Make sure the surfaces are clean, use a bead of silicone on the end rails (not the cork fillers that come with the gasket kit), torque the bolts from the center and work out in a criss-cross pattern and watch your vacuum lines. HTH
