4cyl to v8 conversion

im doin the conversion on my 91 lx,it startd out 4cyl auto,then converted to v8 with aod,and now im converting it to 5.0efi 5spd,i got everythin in and it dawned on me i need a fuel system.so the person before me put in a external pump,, it looks like the stock tank,can i just swich the pumps?,and also is there adapters for AN fittings to that sending unit?i found them to the rails but nothin to the sending unit. or any suggestions on a fuel system would be nice,i just need to feed it fuel.thanks

Granatelli motorsports makes a dropin sending unit with AN thread on the end of it,Some people just try and suck right thru the interal factory pump? I wouldn't.What type of external pump is in the car now?Also what type of power are you looking to make.Are the fuel lines still on the drivers side of the car?Thats where the 4cyl lines are ran.Also Aeroquip makes fittings for hard line to AN just in case you decide to try and gut that factory sending unit/pump. well the pump on it now put out 6 psi,thats not enough,they make inline fuel pumps with AN fittings?,the stock lines r gone,only thing left r the stock rails.i dont want anything crazy just somthin to feed it nicly and maby a little more,

What kind of power are you looking to make. Aeromotovie makes a killer fuel system. Has everything from tank to fuel rails. But its about $1500 for the whole kit. I have it in my car and love it.

i think im going to go with the granatilli sendin unit,and just piece the rest,im not tryin to spend 1500 bucks,i just need to do beatns,is the float thing for the gas guage in a differnt spot then the sending unit,on the gas tank.cause the granittlii thing doesnt have the float,?
