1993 hatch truck latch

will the 93 latches fit on a 1980 hatch because i filled the key whole on my hatch and i figured the 1993 power popping one will fit. am i right and if so any one have one?

I don't see why it wouldn't fit, however you will have to run all of the wires and put a button in...

good and i was planning to i already have wiring and a push button but thanks now does anyone have a latch?
